A double power supply, also called a one-to-two supply, feeds two furnaces from one rated power. One furnace melts. The other holds, pours or is preheated. The two furnaces can also be swapped.
Technical Data
| No. | Catalog statement |
|---|---|
| 1 | Continuous batch production from two sets of power control |
| 2 | Large-piece casting with lower unit power use and a higher power factor |
| 3 | Non-stop melting: hold temperature when needed, higher equipment use |
| 4 | Both furnaces can be preheated and sintered at the same time |
| 5 | Small footprint, simpler installation and maintenance |
| 6 | If one supply or one furnace stops, the other can be swapped in |

| US standard | Applies to |
|---|---|
| NFPA 86 | Standard for Ovens and Furnaces — furnace safety for US plants |
| NFPA 70 (NEC) | National Electrical Code — incoming power and grounding |
| IEEE 519 | Harmonic limits at the plant point of common coupling |
| UL 508A | Industrial control panels on the power supply |
| ASTM A876 | Grain-oriented electrical steel for the magnetic yoke |
| ASTM B75 | Seamless copper tube for the induction coil |
Every figure in these tables is taken from the factory sheets in the product folder and is written in English. 1 metric ton = 1.102 US short tons. Power-supply ratings can still be negotiated to the customer requirement, as the sheet itself states. American standards are the US specifications normally requested with this equipment.
Key features
- Continuous batch production with two furnaces
- Simultaneous preheat and sinter of both linings
- Lower investment than two full-power supplies
- If one furnace stops, the other supply path can keep the line running
Construction
- Two control paths inside the rated power, a changeover switch and two sets of water-cooled cables.
Working principle
Power is dispatched to either furnace. Holding needs only the heat-loss power, so most of the rating stays available for melting.
Applications
Steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass and other non-ferrous metals.
Complete system integration
This equipment sits in the same line as the power supply, the capacitor bank, the induction coil, the magnetic yoke, the furnace body and the cooling system. A quotation can cover one item or the full line.
Customization
Capacity, voltage, frequency, dimensions and connection layout can be made to the furnace design. Send the drawing or the duty data below.

Questions before a quotation
Can the rating be customized?
Yes. Capacity, voltage, frequency, tube size and connection layout follow the furnace drawing and the metal.
What do you need for a quotation?
Furnace capacity, metal, melting temperature, melting rate, working hours, input voltage, frequency if known, tilting method and cooling-water conditions. A drawing helps.
Do you supply a single machine or the complete system?
Both. A spare coil, yoke, capacitor or cooling tower can be quoted alone. A new foundry line is quoted as a complete system.
Which metals can be melted?
Steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass and other non-ferrous metals. The lining and the frequency follow the alloy.
Will you confirm the catalog numbers before manufacture?
Yes. The sheets on this page are the factory catalog for selection. The quotation states the rating that will be built.
