The KGPS series is the medium-frequency power supply for the melting system. Rectifier pulse count, inverter control, protection and the capacitor bank decide whether the furnace melts cleanly and whether the line stays on the grid.

The parallel inverter power supply is the usual converter for a coreless melting furnace. It starts across a wide load range and keeps a stable current limit when scrap bridges or the bath condition changes.

High-power medium-frequency supplies cover the 5 ton to 40 ton class, in catalog bands up to about 20,000 kW. A 12-pulse or 24-pulse rectifier is used so a large furnace can be connected without disturbing the plant grid.

A double power supply, also called a one-to-two supply, feeds two furnaces from one rated power. One furnace melts. The other holds, pours or is preheated. The two furnaces can also be swapped.
Double power supply, one-to-two — factory sheet| No. | Catalog statement |

| 1 | Continuous batch production from two sets of power control |
| 2 | Large-piece casting with lower unit power use and a higher power factor |
| 3 | Non-stop melting: hold temperature when needed, higher equipment use |
| 4 | Both furnaces can be preheated and sintered at the same time |
| 5 | Small footprint, simpler installation and maintenance |
| 6 | If one supply or one furnace stops, the other can be swapped in |
